Installation of Field studies#6, for the group exhibition Le Chant at La Galerie des Grands Bains Douches, Marseille, France, November 2003
176 ink jet prints, 6 X 14.6 feet

4 hot spots in this image will take you to various details of the installation

Photographs of small areas in a field, using a large format camera. The negatives are scanned and then output by various digital processes, to make mural-sized prints and composits. This one was made with the Epson C-80, on Stonehenge paper (Durabright inks on rag paper are extremely stable).

My first job in biology was to spend a whole summer in a 5 X 5 meter square piece of field, identifying, counting, and measuring each weed that grew in it- every day for 3 months, for a study on the effect of power lines on plant growth.
